Who is Dominion
Dominion Physical Therapy & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Allen R. Jones to service the rehabilitative needs of Hampton Roads residents. Allen is a Physical Therapist from Connecticut, who received his clinical degree from the University of Connecticut in 1987 and moved to make Virginia his permanent home in the same year.
On September 9, 2002, Dominion Physical Therapy expanded its outpatient pediatric therapy practice by acquiring Riverside Health Systems outpatient pediatric therapy practice which consisted of approximately 105 children and Five highly trained physical, occupational, and speech therapists.
Dominion Physical Therapy is dedicated to providing the highest quality clinical services in a customer friendly environment. Our staff of licensed physical, ,occupational (Pediatric only)and speech therapists (Pediatric only) are experienced and highly qualified. Our goal is to move our clients to their maximum level of wellness in the shortest period of time, working as part of the total managed care team of physicians, nurses, and clinical case managers.
Dominion Physical Therapy currently has a staff of 40 employees to provide service to our customers. Our professional staff includes:

- 4 Licensed Speech and Language Pathologists
- 1 Registered Occupational Therapist
- 1 Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant
We are concerned not only about our qualifications to assist the patient towards achieving the fullest physical recovery possible, but also with providing a high level of customer service with the insurance referral and claims process.

Dominion Physical Therapy is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. We are a State Approved Outpatient Rehabilitation Center and are Medicare and Medicaid approved providers of rehabilitation services.
In addition, we are a credentialed network provider for a number of managed care plans with membership in the Hampton Roads area. As such, we have experience working in a managed care environment.
Dominion Physical Therapy is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
As part of an ongoing quality assurance process, Dominion Physical Therapy requests each of their clients to fill out a customer satisfaction questionnaire upon discharge from there personalized program. Responses are monitored closely and comments and suggestions are promptly addressed as part of the continuous quality improvement process.
Benefit Verification Pre-authorization
Dominion Physical Therapy and Associates, Inc. will verify benefits with all insurance carriers prior to the first visit. If pre-authorization or primary care physician referral is required, we will assist with coordination to ensure swift and accurate reimbursement.
Communication is on going throughout the client’s treatment plan. We provide clear, concise, oral and written communication to the attending physician. Our treatment plan and progress reports are goal oriented.

Referrals for services start with a phone call. Please call the office most convenient for your patient.
Appointments are scheduled immediately upon referral or receipt of physician order. All offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Individual patient needs are accommodated by appointments scheduled both earlier and later than normal business hours on an as needed basis.
