Dr. Allen R. Jones, Jr.
Dr. Allen R. Jones, Jr. is a licensed physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dr. Jones is the owner and CEO of Dominion Physical Therapy, which provides individualized, patient-centered rehabilitative and therapeutic care in the Hampton Roads area.
Dr. Jones started Dominion Physical Therapy in 1990 with one office and two employees with a goal of combining evidence-based therapy with superior customer service in a warm and friendly environment. For more than two decades, he has expanded his practice to include six locations in Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Portsmouth and Norfolk, Va. His Oyster Point location in Newport News is dedicated to the rehabilitative needs of children. Each office is staffed by highly trained, licensed therapists. "This is very much a community-based organization," Jones says.
The community has responded positively to his practice's professionalism. In 2009, Dominion Physical Therapy received the Daily Press Choice Award - a reader's choice poll - with the most votes in the overall Health and Fitness category. In 2011, the Virginia Center of Inclusive Communities gave Dr. Jones the Humanitarian Award for his service to others. Dr. Jones remains active in the Hampton Roads community by awarding an annual doctorate PT scholarship to well-deserving students.
Dr. Jones earned his degree in physical therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1987 and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University School of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, in 2014. He holds a postgraduate certification in Clinical Management of Head, Facial and Neck Pain and TMJ Disorders. He has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1988.
Dr. Jones settled in Virginia in 1987 and has worked hard to foster a spirit of community involvement. In 2001, Dr. Jones was the recipient of the Urban League's A. Phillip Randolph Award. He was named Trailblazer of the Year by 100 Black Men of America, Virginia Peninsula Chapter, in 2005. In addition, he has received a number of gubernatorial appointments, including one to the Public Broadcasting Board and designation as Commissioner of the Virginia Port Authority. In 2014, Dr. Jones was appointed by Gov. Terry McAuliffe to the Virginia State Board of Physical Therapy. He is a director and charter member of Virginia Company Bank and is also a board member of Hampton Roads Academy and the Peninsula School for Autism.
Dr. Jones is also a member of the Norfolk State University Foundation Board, the Old Dominion University College of Health Sciences Advisory Board, the ODU School of Physical Therapy & Athletic Training and the Virginia Living Museum Advisory Board. In 2014, Dr. Jones provided financial and staffing support for a collaborative trip with ODU specialists to the Dominican Republic to educate a hospital staff there on treating autism spectrum disorder.
Dr. Jones is active in his church, the Boule, Norfolk Guardsmen and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He also is a past board member of the James River Country Club, a past Advisory Board member for Christopher Newport University's School of Business as well as a past Board Chair for the City of Newport News Industrial Development Authority and past board member of the Mariners' Museum.
Dr. Jones is a father of four and is married to Hampton, Va. native Gail Boyd Jones, a physical therapy assistant who works in his practice.
Louise E. Jefferson, MPT
Louise is a Licensed Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in Biology/Pre-Medicine from Elizabeth State University in May of 1996. Thereafter, she pursued her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University and received it in August of 1999.
Louise has had experience in a variety of physical therapy settings including Outpatient Orthopedics, Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Home Health Care.
Louise’s clinical affiliations were at the following sites: Riverside Regional Medical Center - Hospital Based/Acute Care, Riverside Rehabilitation Institute - rehabilitation/Inpatient facility, and Dianne D. Epplein & Associates, Inc.- a Pediatric facility.
Louise is conversant in Dutch and German. She is a current member of the Tidewater Physical Therapy Association. She joined Dominion Physical Therapy & Associates, Inc. in January of 2000.
Gail B. Jones, LPTA
Gail is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned an Associate degree from Tidewater Community College in Applied Science-Physical Therapy Assistant in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science degree from Alabama A & M University in Computer Science in 1985. Gail is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Tidewater Chapter of Smart Set, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She has been working for Dominion Physical Therapy since 1993.
Carmen Villanveva, LPTA (PT*)
Carmen is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is also a Licensed Physical Therapist in Puerto Rico and is currently working on her certification to practice as a physical therapist in Virginia.
Carmen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy, graduating cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico in 1976. She also holds an Associate degree in Applied Science-Physical Therapy Assistant from Tidewater Community College, graduating magna cum laude, in 1994. Carmen received the American Physical Therapy Association's award for clinical excellence in 1994. She also holds a certification in Joint Mobilization Techniques from the Continuing Education Network, and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Carmen gained five years of clinical experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist in Puerto Rico working in both acute care and outpatient settings. She has worked at Dominion Physical Therapy since 1994. Carmen is bi-lingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
Donna Bradley, LPTA
Donna is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Associates Degree in applied Science from Tidewater Community College in 1984. Donna is a graduate from the first program for Physical Therapy Assistants in this area. She comes to us with 21 years of experience as an LPTA.
Donna has worked many years with the geriatrics population in retirement facilities that offered many levels of care. During the past 6 years she has broaden her experiences to include work in comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities and Assisted Living Centers.
Donna joined Dominion Physical Therapy in January of 2005.
Crystal Jobson, LPTA
Crystal is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia, she earned her Associates of Applied Science/Physical Therapist Assistant from Medical Careers Institute. She started at Dominion Physical Therapy & Associates as a senior intern just prior to graduating in July 2010 and began working with us shortly after graduation. Crystal sat for her boards and was licensed on September 1st 2010.
Deborah Brown, LPTA
Deborah is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Virginia. Deborah received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.
Deborah earned her Physical Therapy from St. Augustine in St. Augustine Florida.
She is experienced in and out patient hospital setting and orthopedic outpatient facilities.
Deborah joined Dominion Physical Therapy February 2004.
Rasean Greene, LPTA, CWT
Rasean has been a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as North Carolina since 1996. Resean’s educational background includes courses from many colleges and universities throughout Virginia. However, it was his love for human anatomy and its proper mechanics that resulted in him receiving his Associate’s Degree from Tidewater Community College. He is now continuing his matriculation through ODU in pursuit of the Doctorate of physical Therapy Degree.
Throughout his career, Rasean has been privileged to work with patients at various levels of their recovery as evidenced by his facilitation of treatment in the following settings. These settings include: pediatrics, inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, correctional facilities, school systems, military clinics and home health.
Rasean is dedicated to providing the most effective and evidenced based treatments to his patients. He is aware of the importance of continuing education within the rehab setting, thus he has attended the following conferences and received additional certifications in the specialized techniques as noted below:

Lori Norcross, LPTA
Lori is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Applied/Physical Therapist Assistant from Medical Careers Institute. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Lori has had clinical experience in a variety of Physical Therapy settings including Outpatient, Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care Facility for Pediatrics. Her prior experience has been in the school system working with special needs children.
Lori joined Dominion Physical Therapy in May 2012.
Clarence Tucker, MSPT
Clarence graduated from Moreno Valley High School in Moreno Valley, Ca with honors in 1991. He graduated from Norfolk State University with Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Kinesiotherapy in 1996 with honors. Graduated from Old Dominion University in 1999 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and Biomechanics in 1999.
Mr. Tucker’s clinical expertise is in manual therapy. His past work history is as follows, clinical director and lead physical therapist at Dominion Physical Therapy's Denbigh office from 1999-2004. Clinical Coordinator at The Transitional Care Center at Depaul Medical Center from 2004-2005. Co-Owner of Therapy-One Rehabilitation in Norfolk, Va from 2005-2008. Contract Physical therapist with Ambassador Rehabilitation and RehabCare from 2008-2012.Clinical Director and lead physical therapist for Dominion Physical Therapy's south side locations presently.
Clarence is married and is a very active and a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. since 1994.
Jennifer Dickey, LPTA
Jennifer is a licensed physical therapist assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is an army wife and mother of 3 who earned her associate of applied science of physical therapy at Medical Careers Institute in 2012. She has a background in physical fitness with previous experience instructing boot camp, kid fit and zumba fitness classes; with current certifications in personal training and kinesio-taping.
Jennifer started with Dominion Physical Therapy August 20, 2012.
Monica Riggins, LPTA
Monica Riggins is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Monica received her Associates of Applied Science in Physical Therapy at the Medical Careers Institute in Newport News and her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
Monica's clinical experience includes Skilled Nursing and Outpatient Physical Therapy. She became a member of the Dominion Physical Therapy team in May 2013.
Taleria L. Alston, PT, DPT
Taleria L. Alston, PT, DPT is a proud native of rural Louisburg, NC. She earned her Bachelor’s in Science in Biology at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC where she also played two years of basketball. Her personal journey to becoming a physical therapist began in 2003 when her mother suffered a CVA. She then developed a driving passion to help others rehabilitate from traumatic events and become a force in the community to help reduce cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. She became a Licensed Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia in July 2013.
Dr. Alston established a youth tutoring and mentoring program, Empowered Through Christ, on June 12, 2009 to help uplift the youth of her community. She also organizes an annual school supply drive with donations given to Girls, Inc. of Hampton.
Her future career goals include becoming a Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment certified Physical Therapist and participates in the education of those in the community to help decrease the risk of developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
Damien Harvey, LPTA
Damien is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He began his education at Norfolk State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Biology. Damien also was able to continue his education at Tidewater Community College to pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
When not providing patients with the best care using a wide range of treatments, Damien also volunteers with Norfolk Parks and Recreation as a youth basketball coach and mentors for at risk youth. He also gives back to his community as a philanthropist ensuring children receive summer activities at the park and back to school supplies to ensure proper educational materials are provided. Damien’s vision is to assist people with the right tools in order to succeed.
